I did some very last minute Christmas shopping today and while at the mall, I made a beeline for the Chanel counter to check out the limited edition Poudre Signee de Chanel Illuminating Powder as well as the Joues Contraste blush. I'm not the biggest fan of illuminating or highlighting powders as I prefer creams and liquids, but Chanel's illuminating powder literally took my breath away. I did a quick swatch with a makeup sponge and my eyes lit up when I saw how gorgeous it applied on my skin. It looks like a pink beige in the pan, but on me had the slightest golden sheen on my medium-tan skin. This is a MUST-HAVE for me, which says a lot because I prefer pearl-colored highlighters to golden ones. The blush applied beautifully as well and looked air-brushed with one swipe. I applied both heavily on my hand for picture purposes.
