Quick Swatches: NEW Tarte LipSurgence in Energy & Cheek Stain in Awakening

I went into Sephora today on a mission to find Tarte's newest LipSurgence Lip Tint in Energy, a "skintuitive" formula that adjusts to your body's chemistry.  I've always been a fan of chameleon-like products from Too Faced Mood Swing Lip Gloss to Smashbox O-Glow, and because I'm a huge fan of Tarte's Lip Tints, I had I feeling I'd love Energy too.  Here are a few quick swatches of Tarte's newest products.

The Cheek Tint in Awakening swatched as a shimmery light pink with peach undertones.


When I initially applied Energy to my lips, it was a sheer light pink that later warmed into a rosy fuschia.

    1. Exposed is my fave understated brush. You should check out their lip tints and eyeliners. I always have one of each in my purse!

    1. Great eye! I only got this lip tint, but I cashed in some of my Beauty Insider points for a sample of Tarte's newest BB cream. I can't wait to test it out and review it!

  4. Chris how did you know I was DYING to have Awakening?!! You have great taste in makeup :P Both products look great on you. However, I was under the impression that Awakening was not shimmery...at least that's what I read when it first came out :/

    1. I was actually surprised when I swatched this because it looked different from the tube. I wouldn't say it's completely shimmery, but more of a shimmery-sheen. I think it would look great on your skin tone. :)
