Wake Up Bright-Eyed in One Easy Step with Clinique Airbrush Concealer

After seeing my favorite beauty guru Lisa Eldrige use this in many of her makeup tutorials, I had to go and try this for myself.  This concealer and highlighter in one comes in three shades-- fair, neutral fair, and medium.  I tried medium and luckily, it was a perfect match.

The color of 02 medium is a yellowish-peach concealer.  I like my undereye concealers to have pink undertones because I think it really brightens my eyes.

This concealer comes in a pen with a brush for application, which may not seem the most hygenic when applying straight from the pen.  For those germ-conscious beauties, I suggest first washing your hands and then applying a blob to the back of your hand for application.  For those who are really germaphobic, you can always rub hand sanitizer to your hands, let them dry, and then apply product to the back of your hand for application.

The consistency of this concealer is very thin which I like because it makes it easier for me to blend.  This product dries fast which requires me to work quickly, but once it sets, it stays put.  I like to test out new products at work because 12-hrs in an air-conditioned environment where I'm moving around a lot allows me to filter which products last for me or not.  After 8 hours, I still looked fresh with minimal fading and no creasing or settling into fine lines.

Bottom line:  Because this product only comes in 3 shades, it is limited to its reach.  However, if you happen to match one of the three colors (fair, neutral fair, medium), you may have found your one-stop-shop for brightening and concealing.  Good morning sunshine!

This product retails for $19.50 and can be found at any Clinque counter. Don't forget to follow my site or subscribe for more posts. :)
I am not wearing any makeup except for brow pencil and tinted lip balm.
I followed Lisa Eldrige's advice  and applied this to shadows around my nose and mouth.

What are your go-to concealers?

  1. It's the one I'm using at the moment, and I also purchased it after watching a Lisa Eldridge video! My shade is 04, just like her, and I'm quite happy with it, but now I'm trying to find something a bit thicker. May be helena Rubinstein's Concealer...

    1. You'll have to tell me what you find! I could use something thicker for those extra sleepy days. ;)

  2. Looks like it works like a charm! I adore Lisa Eldridge and I have seen her use this concealer in quite a few videos, so it was really useful and interesting to read this review :)

  3. I wonder if I can use this. Hmm. I don't have much under eye concerns just yet, but I love anything that will make my eyes look bright!

    1. Hi doll, this definitely brightens my look, but then again, I tend to look really sleepy after work night shifts.

  4. I recently got this in neutral fair (medium seems too dark for me). While I like how it works, neutral fair isn't a perfect match for me. It is just slightly too light, so it seems a little ashy on me. I'm wondering if I should pick up the OCC concealer because apparently the formula works well!

    1. I've never tried anything from OCC. You'll have to tell me if it works out for you!

  5. Wow, it makes a massive under your eyes! I was wondering if this kind of product would be worth it. I'm kind of a germaphobe as well, so your suggestion is a good one!

    1. I hope you meant massive difference ;) I really love this product for mornings when I'm on the go. Just concealer, fill in my brows, and a lip tint and I'm set!

  7. I was curious about this from Lisa Eldridges videos, too!! :P Must definitely swatch when I'm at the counter next--I have been wanting a brightening concealer. My favorite at the moment is Giorgio Armani's Maestro and it actually has a touch of peach so I do use it around my shadowy areas too...but I still want this Clinique one!! :P

    1. This concealer pen is so travel friendly, but I really want to try the GA Maestro concealer.
