I recently posted pictures and my thoughts on Rimmel London's newest Show Off Lip Lacquer in two bold colors (found here). Today I'm showing you the other colors that I decided to purchase and test out- two nudes in different finishes.
Solstice is a mauve-y pink with a fine, silver shimmery finish.
Initially, I was sure that Celestial would be my favorite color, but as you can see in the pictures below, it turned out to be a pale, powdery color on my lips that did not flatter my skin tone.
Solstice didn't look too interesting in the tube to me, but I wanted to try a shimmery finish in these lip lacquers. It turns out that I actually really like Solstice for an everyday color. It's a mauve MLBB shade for me that is almost my exact lip color, but just evens it out. I was afraid this color would look too frosty on me, but the shimmers were so fine that this color gave me a nice satin sheen.
Bottom line: I went out on a limb trying these four colors, and luckily I really enjoyed three of them. I still recommend you try these out if you like the lip lacquer look. These lippies can be found at Walgreens for about $5-6.
